The Ministerial Search Committee has announced Rev. Diana Smith as their recommended candidate to become the congregation’s next settled minister. Rev. Diana will virtually engage with the UUS community in a variety of ways during a ten-day Candidating Week beginning on Wednesday, April 22, including leading Sunday services on April 26 and May 3.

The ministerial search committee is organizing small group discussions (cottage meetings) where groups of 10-12 people will gather and discuss two focused questions to help further the search process. Sign up online or after Sunday services for one of several available sessions.
Who are we? Where are we going? The answers to these questions are important to us and to ministers we want to attract to UUS. We’ll generate our mission and vision at a congregational workshop on Saturday, November 2, from 10-3. Lunch and childcare provided. Registration is required.

Rev. Keith Kron of the UUA Transitions Office will lead this important workshop as part of the ministerial search process. The goal is to help congregation members recognize and move beyond any biases they may hold in their vision of an acceptable minister. Lunch and childcare provided, register online.
