South District Neighborhood Association is our January Community Partner

The South District Neighborhood Association of Iowa City sponsors the Diversity Market, among other community events. The market, held in the Pepperwood Plaza during the summer months, empowers minority entrepreneurs, including women, youth and those in the Black, Indigenous, Latino, Asian, LGBTQ+, refugee, immigrant and returning citizen communities.

2023 Stewardship Campaign

The 2023 Stewardship Campaign to support our operating budget kicks off on Sunday, September 25th, 2022. Our pledge goal is $440,000, which will ensure that we have the financial resources needed to support our programs that reflect our mission and vision.

Welcome Nic Kaplan, UUS’s New Director of Lifespan Religious Education

We are delighted to announce that UUS has hired Nic Kaplan to be our new Director of Lifespan Religious Education! They come to us from Muncie, Indiana where they are the Coordinator of Youth Programming at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Muncie. Every summer members of the congregation help the Worship Associates plan and deliver a series of lay-led services. The 2022 Summer service theme is Compassion.
