The next phase of the ministerial search process will begin with small group meetings (cottage meetings) where groups of 10-12 people will gather and discuss the following two questions:

  1. If someone outside the congregation asks you why you are part of the UUS community, what might you say?
  2. After our minister has been with us for a year, how will you know whether they are succeeding?

You can sign up online, or fill out a printed sheet at UUS after Sunday services. Sessions are available before the Sunday service on Oct. 13 and 20, and after the service Oct. 27 and Nov. 3.  We also have a couple of sessions scheduled at the Iowa City Public Library, as that might work better for some. 

We look forward to hearing from our members and friends at these meetings.

They come to us from Muncie, Indiana where they are the Coordinator of Youth Programming at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Muncie. The market, held in the Pepperwood Plaza during the summer months, empowers minority entrepreneurs, including women, youth and those in the Black, Indigenous, Latino, Asian, LGBTQ+, refugee, immigrant and returning citizen communities.
