UUSIC member Miriam Kashia was one of only four to walk the entire route of the Great March for Climate Action, and was the oldest and the only woman to complete the eight-month trek.  She was also voted mayor of the group, which numbered to 150 some days, three times.

They come to us from Muncie, Indiana where they are the Coordinator of Youth Programming at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Muncie. Community Purchase for Climate Action

The quickest, easiest, and cheapest way to start playing a part in slowing climate change is making sure the light and water in your home is as energy efficient as possible. UUS and the Green Sanctuary Team are partnering with the Johnson Clean Energy District (JCED) to purchase LED bulbs and low-flow showerheads for members and friends of the congregation.
