Unitarian Universalist Society presents:
UUS Summer Camp
We are so excited to offer our first ever summer camp program at our Coralville campus!
This summer, join us at Unitarian Universalist Society for a fun-filled summer full of outdoor play with a series of one week nature camps for ages K-8th grade. To cap it all off, we will have a 2-week musical theatre camp for ages K-12th grade to perform Seussical The Musical.
UUS Nature Camps
10-3 M-F the week of camp with optional wraparound care available from 8:30-4
Sign up for 1, 2 or all 3 weeks
Campers will be mostly outside on our congregation campus as much as possible learning about the world around us and how we can honor the earth and the interconnected web of life. While this focus on honoring the earth is part of the Unitarian Universalist shared mission and principles, our camp is not religious and we are open to everyone.
In addition to the special weekly theme, each Nature Camp will prioritize being outdoors and engaging with the natural life abundant on our grounds.
UUS Musical Theatre Camp
SEUSSICAL THE MUSICAL
This two-week Musical Theatre Camp is for children entering kindergarten through 12th grade, as we learn and play to put together a production of Seussical the Musical. All camp participants will have a role in the play if they want, or on the tech crew if they would prefer. Campers will learn about and audition, play theatre games, help make a set, and even design costumes! Two performances of SEUSSICAL will take place on Saturday, July 22nd. There is a role for everyone in this show. This camp will be led by UUS Music Director Alex Heetland and Director of Lifespan Religious Education Nic Kaplan.
Service on Sundays at 10; Office Open Mon-Thurs 9-4 By Appointment
